College, Our Days are Numbered...

This week, I began last year of college. Instead of picking classes because they sounded interesting, now I have to worry about silly things like requirements and graduation. And now there are only so many things I can push off until next semester. I'm hearing the phrase "better do it while we're still in college!" more and more often and the reality that I will not always be in college is beginning to dawn on me. They say that there is no one older than a high school senior and no one younger than a college freshmen. While I agree with that proverb, I think you can add 'There is no one more freaked out than a college senior.' From graduates gone before us, we have heard cries of 'I can't find a job in my field,' 'These student loans are killing me,' 'I still have no idea what to do with me life,' and 'Shit, my Humanities degree really is useless!' Sorry, Humans. I know that graduation isn't just the metaphorical turning of the hourglass counting down to 30. There are good things too, though the bad seem to outweigh the good right now. I also know that I have a ways to go before I'll be perfectly fine without the crutch of college. I just hope a year is enough time to transition from 'Oh Shit' to 'A Okay.' This blog is to help me get there and hopefully provide you with some humorous, cautionary, interesting anecdotes along the way...

But mostly, I hoping that someone will like my blog and turn it into a movie about a plucky girl who thinks she has problems but really has none like Julie and Julia or The Nanny Diaries.
